Gorakhpur Lok Sabha Election Result 2024 LIVE UPDATES: Gorakhpur Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh. Polling here was held in the seventh phase on June 1 during the Lok Sabha elections 2024. The counting of votes in Gorakhpur is taking place today as results of the general elections for the 18th Lok Sabha will be declared today. The key contest in Gorakhpur is between BJP and Samajwadi Party. This constituency lies in the eastern region of Uttar Pradesh.

BJP's Ravi Kishan is leading against Samajwadi Party's Kajal Nishad.

The Gorakhpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh went to polls in the seventh phase on June 1 along with the other 12 constituencies of the state.

The voter turnout in 2024 was recorded as 54.93 per cent in 2024 elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Samajwadi Party (SP), the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the Congress are the main parties in the constituency. In 2024, the key contest in Gorakhpur is between BJP's Ravi Kishan and Samajwadi Party's Kajal Nishad. 

What happened in 2014 and 2019? 

In 2019 elections, BJP’s Ravi Kishan won the election with a thumping majority against SP's Rambhual Nishad by a margin of over 3,02,000 votes. In 2014, BJP's Yogi Adityanath defeated Rajmati Nishad by a margin of over 3,13,000 votes.
