Massive fire erupts at Noida high-rise residential society due to Air-Conditioner explosion | WATCH

Noida fire: A fire officer said that at least five fire tenders were rushed to the sport to bring the situation under control. So far no reports of any casualty or injury have surfaced.

Noida fire: A massive fire erupted at a high-rise building in Uttar Pradesh's Noida on Thursday. According to deatils, the incident occured due to a blast in the Air-Conditioner (AC) at the Lotus Boulevard society in Sector 100. Following the incident, residents in the vicinity evacuated their flats and gathered on the ground as a precautionary measure.

According to the fire officer, five fire tenders have been dispatched to the scene to manage the situation. The swift response aims to ensure the safety of the residents and to bring the fire under control as quickly as possible. The video of the incident showed heavy smoke billowing from the apartment in one of the residential towers of the society.

No reports of any casualties

There were no immediate reports of any casualties in the incident. "The fire has been extinguished by Fire Safety officials. Other details would be shared soon," a police spokesperson said.

Rise in fire-related incidents

Amid a persistent heatwave in the North India, Delhi Fire Services received over 220 calls within a span of 24-hour on Wednesday, marking the highest number in the past 10 years. According to fire department officials, this figure surpasses the call volume typically seen during Diwali last year. According to details, most of these calls originated from West Delhi localities, including Narela, Bawana, and Burari.

North India reels under intense heatwave

It should be mention here that large parts of northern and central India continues to remain in the grip of a sweltering heatwave with the maximum temperature in the national capital nearing to 50 degrees Celsius. Cities and towns across Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh sizzled at maximum temperatures in excess of 47 degrees Celsius with Rohtak and Prayagraj logging 48.8 degrees, the highest temperatures recorded in the country on Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
