A fire incident occurred at Aditya Mall in Indirapuram. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the mall's fire-fighting system effectively controlled the flames. According to mall management, the fire was caused by a short circuit within the facility, which led to a fire inside the ducts, causing smoke to spread upwards. The mall was filled with smoke, causing panic among visitors. At present, the fire has been completely extinguished.
The fire originated in the mall's electrical panel, which led to the spreading of smoke throughout the mall. Over 500 people were present in the mall's auditorium, and five individuals from the same family were trapped in the mall's elevator.
More than 150 mall staff members were on-site and had to be evacuated. The fire department was alerted, and three fire trucks arrived at the scene. The individuals trapped in the elevator were safely rescued after breaking the glass. The fire has been completely extinguished, but due to the smoke, the firefighting personnel faced significant challenges.
The fire brigade team successfully extinguished the fire, providing relief to those present. Notably, due to the chaos and smoke, the people inside the mall initially could not grasp the situation. A significant route for exiting the mall via stairs presented challenges.
Remarkably, during this evacuation, no one was found to be trapped inside the mall. Upon speaking with people in Aditya Mall, it was discovered that after the fire broke out, there was considerable commotion. The exit route from the mall via the stairs was somewhat chaotic.
The safe evacuation and efficient handling of the fire by the fire brigade team ultimately prevented a major tragedy. To avoid any panic, the ongoing movie show in the theater was stopped three times. This approach contributed to maintaining calm and order.
