Crime news: A 45-year-old woman was found dead, with her throat slit, near Knowledge Park metro station in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida, the police said on Saturday. According to the police, Pinky, was a native of Delhi’s Ambedkar Nagar and worked as a clerk at Nizamuddin Railway Station.
The official said that deceased woman left home on Friday morning and was reported missing. The woman’s daughter lodged a missing complaint at Ambedkar Nagar police station on Saturday morning.
Woman body found near Knowledge Park metro station
Later on Saturday, the Greater Noida Police received the information regarding the discovery of Pinki's body near Knowledge Park metro station.
During the investigation, it was found that the woman was last seen around 3 pm at her office at Nizamuddin Railway Station. The office staff also confirmed about her presence on Saturday and claimed that she left in the afternoon at around 3 pm, the officials said.
Probe underway
Further investigation revealed that the deceased's last known location was at Greater Noida's Knowledge Park, which falls under the jurisdiction of Knowledge Park police station and it appears that the main incident had occurred there, the official added. Further investigation is underway.
