Imran Masood, the Congress Member of Parliament (MP) from Saharanpur today (June 27) praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath-led government in the state. He stated that he cannot disapprove of the good work done by the UP government just because he is in the Opposition.

"A lot of development work has been done in many areas of Uttar Pradesh", Masood made the remarks on Thursday while speaking to India TV.

Imran Masood said that a lot of work has been done in UP. "Roads have been built, several kinds of facilities have been provided to the masses, and electricity is being supplied even in such extreme heatwave conditions. All this is not hidden from anyone", he added.

Masood said that if someone has done work then he should be praised and an issue should not be made out of it.

“In this terrible heat, if the power supply is working uninterrupted in Uttar Pradesh, then the electricity department workers should be praised,” Masood said without naming Yogi Adityanath.

'I am not against anyone': Imran Masood

My politics is not against anyone, rather I speak the truth. I still say that work has been done in the field of electricity in Uttar Pradesh. The roads have been built well and the work is clearly visible. If I say that the roads are not built well or the electricity supply is poor, people will say that I am lying. The outlook of politics should be positive.

“If positive work has been done then it has to be appreciated. Being in the Opposition does not mean we will always remain critical. I believe in practising the politics of optimism and not of negativity. If we do not support the government on what is right, how will the situation improve?” Masood added.
