Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to ensure that Ayushman health cards are provided to all eligible individuals and that the highest quality medical facilities are made available to every person.
During the 'Janata Darshan' event in Gorakhpur, where around 300 people raised their concerns, the Chief Minister instructed officials to address people's issues in a timely, quality, and satisfactory manner. "Full assistance for treatment will be provided to every needy person from the Chief Minister's Discretionary Fund," Adityanath was quoted as saying in an official statement.
'Prioritise making of Ayushman Health Cards'
Additionally, CM Yogi instructed officials to assess the treatment costs for individuals without Ayushman cards and provide the estimates to the government, enabling arrangements for their treatment in major hospitals.
On being informed by a woman about her daughter's serious illness and that she did not have the Ayushman card, the Chief Minister directed officials to promptly admit the patient to either SGPGI or KGMU in Lucknow. He also instructed them to prepare a cost estimate for the expenses and provide it to the government. "Prioritise making of Ayushman Health Cards of all those in need based on urgency," he said.
The Chief Minister responded to complaints regarding the police and revenue departments, emphasizing that district-level officers should ensure the resolution of issues to prevent people from facing unnecessary problems. The Chief Minister stressed that laxity in solving people's problems would not be tolerated.
