At least two people have died while 3-4 people are feared trapped after a building collapsed in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki in the wee hours on Monday. The rescue efforts are underway.
"Around 3 am in the morning, we received information about a building collapse in Barabanki... We have rescued 12 people... we have got information that 3-4 people are likely still trapped under the debris. SDRF team is also at the spot, NDRF will arrive soon... among the 12 people who were rescued and hospitalised, 2 have died," said Dinesh Kumar Singh, SP, Barabanki.
Two people who have lost their lives have been identified as Roshni Bano, 22 and Hakimuddin, 28. Both are residents of Barabanki district.
Seven others who have been referred to have Lucknow's KGMU are Shakeela, 50; Sultan, 24; Kulsum, 47; Zafarul Hasan, 20; Salman, 26 and two others.
