The slain gangster Atiq Ahmed's fugitive wife, Shaista Parveen is trying to secure her husband's illegal funds and properties. 70% of Atiq Ahmed's assets, worth Rs 3,000 crores are registered in the names of his aides.
These include registries of land and houses. Atiq used to transfer properties worth crores to his gang members, servants, account holders, and old acquaintances.
Atiq's black money is recorded in the names of politicians, doctors, lawyers, hoteliers, and contractors.
Only 30 percent of the properties belonging to the Mafia family will be bequeathed.
After the death of the mafia, the agencies prepare the accounts of the well-known and benami properties of the mafia.
Shaista Parveen declared 'Mafia'
In a new FIR, Shaista has been labeled a "mafia" by the Uttar Pradesh police. The police likewise mentioned that she is constantly joined by a shooter named Sabir. Strikingly, Sabir is one of the people blamed in the Umesh Buddy murder case, and a prize of Rs 5 lakh is imposed on him.
The FIR has been enlisted by Rajesh Kumar Maurya, accountable for Dhoomanganj police headquarters in Prayagraj.
The FIR was issued on May 2 following a police search of Shaista's home at the residence of Asad's friend, Ateen Zafar. Prominently, the police found during the test that Shaista was in Prayagraj on April 16, a day after her husband, Atiq Ahmed, and her brother-in-law, Ashraf, were shot dead outside a hospital in the town.
According to the police, she stayed with Sabir at the home of Ateen, a friend of her son. On May 2, Ateen was taken into custody by police, and during questioning, he provided the following information.
The police then filed an FIR describing Shaista Parveen as a "mafia" member. There is a rumor that the police are preparing to add Shaista Parveen's name to the mafia's list soon.
