Can you type with your nose? While it may sound improbable, Vinod Kumar Chaudhary has taken his unusual talent to new heights, earning his third consecutive Guinness World Record for this extraordinary skill.
On May 30, Chaudhary set the Guinness World Record for the third time in a row, becoming the "fastest to type the Roman alphabet with his nose on a QWERTY keyboard." Guinness World Records shared Chaudhary's significant achievement on X (formerly Twitter), posting a video of Chaudhary, also known as the "Typing Man of India," typing via his nose.
"How quickly could you type the alphabet with your nose (with spaces)? India's Vinod Kumar Chaudhary did it in 26.73 seconds," Guinness World Records captioned the video.
To achieve this record, Vinod Chaudhary typed all 26 letters from A to Z in just 25.66 seconds, including spaces between each letter. Previously, he held the records, both set in 2023, with times of 26.73 seconds and 27.80 seconds.
Vinod's secret to success is daily meditation
Speaking to Guinness World Records after breaking his own records, Chaudhary said, "My secret to success is meditating daily and always thinking positively."
"My profession has been typing, so I thought of making a record in it, combining both my passion and my livelihood," he added. "No matter how many problems you face in your life, you have to keep your passion until eternity."
Further, when asked about his practice sessions, Chaudhary shared a humorous anecdote, saying that typing with his nose sometimes made him so dizzy he’d see stars.
Meanwhile, it is pertinent to note that Vinod Kumar Chaudhary's accomplishments don't stop there. He also holds records for the fastest time to type the alphabet backward (single hand) in 5.36 seconds and the fastest time to type the alphabet with hands behind the back in 6.78 seconds.
Chaudhary said, he dreams of breaking as many records as former international cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who has numerous titles to his name, including the most player-of-the-match awards in an international career (62) and the most centuries scored in international cricket (100).
