The Mumbai Police Department is receiving well-deserved praise for the courageous actions of two officers who risked their lives to save a woman and three others from drowning at Marine Drive during high tide. The incident, which was captured on video and shared by the Mumbai Police themselves, showcases the quick thinking and bravery of constables Kiran Thackeray and Anmol Dahifale. The video shows the officers responding to a distress call near Sundar Mahal Junction on Marine Drive. Without hesitation, they plunged into the rough waters despite the high tide to reach the struggling individuals.
Mumbai Police shared the post with a caption which reads, “Turned the tide! Responding quickly to a drowning incident near Sundar Mahal Junction, Marine Drive, on-duty officials PC Kiran Thackeray & PC Anmol Dahifale, despite high tide, jumped into the sea & rescued the woman,”
“The lady was then taken to the hospital by Marine Drive 1 Mobile van for further treatment where the doctors have confirmed her condition is stable and her relatives have been notified,” they added.
