In a heartwarming story from Varanasi, a nine-year-old boy battling brain cancer got to live out his dream of becoming an IPS officer for a day. Ranveer Bharti, undergoing treatment at the Mahamana Cancer Hospital, saw his wish fulfilled thanks to the local police department.

The Varanasi police went above and beyond, dressing Ranveer in the official IPS uniform and giving him a glimpse into the world of law enforcement. News of this special day spread quickly on social media after ADG Zone Varanasi shared the story on their official X handle. The department's post, when translated from Hindi, reads, “9-year-old Ranveer Bharti is undergoing treatment for a brain tumour at Mahamana Cancer Hospital, Varanasi. In such a situation, Ranveer expressed his wish to become an IPS officer, so the child's wish was fulfilled in the office #adgzonevaranasi.” 

The three photos depict him seated inside a cabin, dressed in khaki attire. The video shows him interacting with other police personnel and shaking hands. The clip concludes with everyone assembling for a group photo.

With over 5,100 views, the viral post has garnered nearly 150 likes and numerous comments. It's now being re-shared not just on X but across other social media platforms. Comments poured in, with users praising the police for their compassion. One X user reacted with an emoticon. “Sir, you won my heart. I salute you from the bottom of my heart,” reads one comment.
