Twitter user complains to IRCTC of obscene ads. Check out railways' reply

The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) won hearts o Twitterati when it schooled a user complaining about ''obscene and vulgar'' advertisements on the application. Tagging Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, Twitter user Anand Kumar, tweeted to IRCTC's official account about ''obscene'' ads on the app. He even attached the screenshots of the advertisements.

"Obscene and vulgar ads are very frequently appearing on the IRCTC ticket booking app. This is very embarrassing and irritating @RailMinIndia @IRCTCofficial @PiyushGoyalOffc kindly look into it," he tweeted.

The Twitter account of IRCTC's official customer service, Indian Railways Seva was quick enough to reply. Railways Seva schooled Anand Kumar and asked him to clear his browsing history. ''Irctc uses Googles ad serving tool ADX for serving ads. These ads uses cookies to target the user. Based on user history and browsing behaviour ads are shown. Pl clean and delete all browser cookies and history to avoid such ads,'' reads the tweet.

User Anand Kumar wasn't really satisfied with the response to his query and asked Railways Seva to ''elaborate''. He accused IRCTC of not fulfilling its responsibilities. ''Very vague and cryptic reply. You are requested to please elaborate in detail with specific instance. IRCTC cannot shun the responsibility without providing the details,'' he tweeted.

As soon as IRCTC responded, social media got flooded with memes, trolling the user. ''Bro you are trending  and trust me it was not vague and cryptic at all,'' a user tweeted. ''Dear IRCTC, please give this Admin a raise!@IRCTCofficial @PiyushGoyal #irctcseva,'''wrote another.
