Younis was roped in as Pakistan's batting coach earlier in the month alongwith Mushtaq Ahmed as the team's spin-bowling coach.
Younis said it will be difficult for the players to get back to playing cricket with the new set of Standard Operating Procedures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While Misbah spoke about how he has had the constant support of Younis as skipper of the national team, he also said that Mushtaq as mentor would help the youngsters in the team prepare for the challenge that comes with playing in English conditions.
In addition to Younis, the PCB has also appointed wrist spinner and a veteran of 52 Tests Mushtaq Ahmed as the team's spin bowling coach and mentor for the three-Test and three-T20Is series, which will be played in August-September.
Younis Khan revealed some players didn't like it when he pointed out that they weren't giving their all for the country but also mentioned that they were remorseful later.
Younis Khan also said that he has never asked money from the board as "it has never been an issue".
PCB CEO Wasim Khan said that the PCB has invited Younis as a special guest keeping in line the board's policy to honour former greats during home matches.
Former Pakistani cricketer Younis Khan has said that Pakistan's players want to play like Virat Kohli.
PCB wanted to follow BCCI's successful model of Rahul Dravid coaching the India U-19 and A team, which acts as a feeder for the national squad.
Besides, Younis will also be in charge of the national junior selection committee as its chief.
There is speculation that former captain Younis Khan is being considered for the role of Pakistan's under-19 coach and manager.
The coach added that with them not being in the team should be seen as a great opportunity for youngsters to grab this chance with both hands and make a name for themselves.
Younis said that the Board had deducted 45 days of his central contract monthly fees when he retired.
The 40-year-old revealed he had earlier decided that whenever he reaches 10,000 runs, he would auction his bat to the organization.
