Delhi: Delhi BJP president Virend Sachdeva on Wednesday informed that they have shifted about 80-100 people near DND Flyover as the water level of Yamuna is rising.
In a tweet shared by Delhi traffic police, it said, "Traffic is affected on Ring road between Monastery and ISBT, Kashmere Gate due to overflowing Yamuna river water. Kindly avoid the stretch."

The previous highest level of the Yamuna river was recorded at 207.49 metres in 1978. In 2013, the water level came close to this peak at 207.33 metres.

Delhi rain: The meeting is to be attended by senior officials of the Irrigation and Flood Control department and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
New Delhi: Delhi L-G VK Saxena on Sunday informed that around 1,200 metric tonnes of garbage were removed from the Yamuna during the first phase of the river cleaning operation.

The total length of the Yamuna up to its point of confluence with the Ganga at Prayagraj is 1376 km, its catchment area is spread over 3.67 lakh square kms.
