WhatsApp reportedly developing compatibility with iPad, allowing users to link WhatsApp for iPad to their existing accounts for seamless integration.
The newly introduced 'companion mode' feature allows users to link up to four devices simultaneously. This means that users can connect multiple mobile phones, exceeding the previous limit of two, to their WhatsApp accounts.
WhatsApp introduces the 'Updates' tab in its iOS beta version, featuring a separate section for muted status updates and improved accessibility to privacy settings.
New WhatsApp Companion mode is a new feature introduced on the platform which enables the user to link with 4 iPhones with a single device. This feature was earlier introduced to the Android beta testers, and now it is available for all the iOS users too.
WhatsApp users will be able to access the security centre in English and an additional 10 languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Kannada, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, and Urdu.
With the new feature, users will be able to access their archived Status updates through a dedicated section within the WhatsApp interface, specifically designed within the Status tab.
WhatsApp's upcoming 'Channels' feature will showcase status updates and channels in a pinned banner within the Updates tab, offering users easy and convenient access.
With the new feature, users will be able to provide consent to share the content of their screen for enabling it. Some users might get access if they install the latest version of the WhatsApp beta for trying the new feature.
The new ability to set up a WhatsApp username would provide users with greater flexibility and personalization. Currently, WhatsApp users are identified by their mobile phone numbers, which limits the options for creating a unique identity within the app.
WhatsApp's new interface for the group settings offers improved clarity and intuitiveness, instead of opening a separate window for each option, users can now enable or disable settings directly from the screen by toggling a switch, resulting in time-saving convenience.
WhatsApp's new feature will give people a chance to save the message in draft so that they do not have to retype the entire message.
In a blog post, WhatsApp stated, "For the moments when you make a mistake, or simply change your mind, you can now edit your sent messages."
The newly introduced chat locking feature holds significant importance for individuals who occasionally share their phones with family members or find themselves in situations where someone else might be holding their phone when they receive a particularly sensitive or important chat.
With this new feature, you can lock your most private conversations with a password and store them in a separate folder. When you lock a chat, the sender's name and the message it contains will also be hidden.
Recently, it was stated that WhatsApp has been listening to your communication, even when the smartphone or app is not in use. Here is how you can check if the information is true.
