The UK declared Russia's Wagner Group, which rallied at Moscow against Putin before withdrawing, as a terrorist organisation, a move which will make it illegal to support or be a part of the group.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has previously called for the Wagner Group to be treated as a terrorist organisation.
Russian state media and other local outlets, which have been covering the Ukraine war extensively since the first day, awarded a few seconds to the funeral event.
Breaking his silence over Prigozhin's death, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he was a "talented businessman but made serious mistakes" in a reference to the short-lived mutiny in June.
Putin sent his condolences to the ten deceased passengers of the plane and said that he came to know about the incident on Thursday morning.
US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak are among many who have hinted Putin's role behind the crash that claimed the life of the Wagner group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin.
Rumours also claimed Putin's role behind the fatal crash of the Wagner boss-- a leader who was responsible for his dramatic rise within Russia and the outside world.

According to Flightradar24-- a Swedish internet-based service that shows real-time aircraft flight tracking information on a map-- the aircraft was flying normally until 3:19 p.m. GMT.
The development came a day after the Russian mercenary leader posted a video where he was apparently recruiting people for the Wagner group in Africa.
The crossings at Tverecius and Sumskas will be closed, while vehicular movement will be diverted to the border checkpoint of Medininkai, said the Lithuanian government on Wednesday.
The two Russian citizens have been accused of colluding with a foreign agency and participating in a organised group for terrorist purposes. They can face up to 10 years imprisonment if convicted.
Tensions between Poland and Belarus have increased after Belarusian forces announced joint military exercises with Wagner fighters near its border. Two Belarusian helicopters also breached Polish airspace recently.
"Every single place that this Wagner group has gone, death, destruction and exploitation have followed," said US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on the group's involvement with Niger coup leaders.
In a proclamation on Monday, the US Department of the Treasury said that it has forced sanctions on three Malian progress government and military authorities.
Tensions between Poland and Belarus increased after Warsaw increased its troops at the border with the other country after Belarusian forces announced joint military exercises with Wagner fighters there.
The sanctions were imposed on Russian mining, technology and munitions firms and commercial banks. Furthermore, a group of Kyrgyzstan-based electronics firms and its leadership were targeted as exporters of components and other technology to Russia.
The video emerged on pro-Russian Telegram social media accounts where Prigozhin suggested that his soldiers would not fight in Ukraine for now.
The activities come in the midst of uncertainty about the fate of Wagner chief Yevgeny Prigozhin and the terms of the deal that finished the outfitted disobedience by offering amnesty for himself as well as his mercenaries and consent to move to Belarus.
The Ukrainian president also called Wagner forces fighting in Ukraine a 'motivated staff of the Russian Army' comprising mostly of convicts who had nothing more to lose. He asserted that Russia was losing the war and had no more victories in Ukraine.
