One of the death row convicts of 2012 Delhi gang-rape case, Vinay Sharma attempted to hurt himself by banging his head against a wall in Tihar jail cell, on February 16. All the four convicts in the Nirbhaya gangrape case will be hanged on March 3 at 6 am.

One of the convicts, Vinay Sharma has pleaded mercy ahead of the capital punishment and has written a letter to the President. Vinay Sharma and 3 other convicts in the Delhi gangrape and murder case are lodged in the Tihar jail and are taking to legal remedies to delay their execution.

In a letter addressed to Raju, Kamal, Rohit Singh and Dinesh, Vinay Sharma has said he remembers all his friends and loves them. Vinay has also penned some poems (shayari) in the letter.
