The Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America termed Varanasi district court's decision to allow prayers in Gyanvapi complex as "historic". It said the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) report revealed undeniable evidence of the demolition of a Hindu temple.
The Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee didn't get any relief from the Allahabad High Court on Friday as it filed a plea challenging a Varanasi court's order allowing Hindus to perform prayers in the southern cellar of the mosque.

Eleven people, including from both the Hindu and Muslim side, applied for copies of the ASI survey report on the Gyanvapi mosque complex adjoining the Kashi Vishwanath temple, counsel for the Hindu litigants said.
The court has directed ASI to provide a hard copy of its survey report to both Hindu and Muslim sides.
Crucially, the mosque's "wazukhana," a small reservoir utilized for ritual ablutions, was explicitly excluded from the survey. This decision aligns with an earlier Supreme Court order safeguarding the specific spot within the mosque complex where Hindu litigants claim a 'Shivling' structure exists.
