On May 30, the Varanasi District Court deferred the hearing on the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee's plea challenging the maintainability of a suit filed by Hindu women till July 4.

'Shivling' was found in the wuzu pond of Gyanvapi by the petitioners, after a videography survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid was conducted.

A bench of Justices DY Chandrachud and PS Narasimha would be hearing the plea of the Committee of Management Anjuman Intezamia Masjid, which manages the affairs of Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi.
