As per health ministry, with the administration of 41,54,476 vaccine doses in last 24 hours, India's COVID vaccination coverage reached 1,73,86,81,675 doses, as per provisional reports on Feb 16.
The worrisome trend in children too young to be vaccinated underscores need for older kids and adults to get their shots to help protect those around them, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for day by late night, the ministry said.
