Unnao rape case survivor's car was hit by an over-speeding truck in Rae Bareli on Sunday, killing two members of her family while leaving her and their advocate critically injured. Now fingers are pointing towards BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar, who is an accused in the rape case. He was arrested on April 13 last year. However, there is no link established as yet.

The incident occurred when the woman, her lawyer and two aunts were travelling from Fatehpur and hit by an over-speeding truck.
Unnao rape survivor who had accused BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar of raping her met with a road accident on Sunday. According to the report, the victim's car was hit by a truck in Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh. It is said that it was raining at the time of the accident.
The charge sheet was filed before Special CBI court in Lucknow and it names four-time MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and his alleged associate Sashi Singh as accused in the case.
"Such incidents could be controlled only by inculcating 'sanskar' (good character) among men, women and children and not through 'samvidhaan' (Constitution)," he said.
The agency has filed the charge sheet against Jai Deep Singh alias Atul Singh Sengar, a brother of the MLA, and his accomplices Vineet Mishra alias Vinay Mishra, Birendra Singh alias Bauwa, Ram Sharan Singh alias Sonu Singh and Shashi Pratap Singh alias Suman Singh.
The complainant – daughter of Sagar's domestic help – said that the lawmaker had threatened to kill her if she approached the police.
Earlier, some media reports had claimed that the CBI has corroborated the survivor’s charge that BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar raped her at his home in Uttar Pradesh’s Makhi village on June 4 last year.
The CBI corroborated the survivor’s charge that Sengar raped her at his home on June 4 last year while his female accomplice, Shashi Singh, stood guard outside the room.

New fast-track courts will be set up to deal with such cases and special forensic kits for rape cases will be given to all police stations and hospitals in the long term, according to the Criminal Law (Amendment) Ordinance 2018.
