Jaishankar underscored PM Modi's initiatives such as Beti Padhao Beti Bachao, Jandhan Yojana, Awas Yojana, Digital India and more in transforming India over the last decade. He also stressed the need to reframe the India-UK partnership in light of profound changes in both countries over the years.
In her no-confidence letter, Jenkyns criticised the British PM for sacking Suella Braverman from the post of Home Secretary, saying that she was the only one with the "balls to speak the truth". Sunak replaced Braverman with ex-foreign secretary James Cleverly.

The opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) organised a major rally demanding Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation ahead of the general elections in January. The ensuing unrest led to paramilitary forces being deployed in the capital.
