In order to pass the exam, candidates belonging to the unreserved category need to score at least 40 per cent marks whereas candidates in the reserved category need only 35 per cent.

CUET UG 2022: The Common University Entrance Test will be conducted from July 15 to August 10, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced last week. Over 11 lakh candidates have registered for the first edition of CUET.
The CUET-qualified candidates will be able to register for admission to undergraduate courses in central universities across the country.
The students will have to earn more than 30 per cent credits from the foreign institution under the programme. However, the regulations shall not be applicable to programmes offered online and in the open and distance learning mode.
One programme can be pursued in physical mode and another in ODL/Online mode; or up to two ODL/Online programmes simultaneously.
Speaking at a press conference, Kumar said, "As announced in the new National Education Policy (NEP) and in order to allow students to acquire multiple skills, UGC is coming up with new guidelines to allow a candidate to pursue two-degree programs in physical mode simultaneously.

According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), responsible for conducting the test, the CUET will provide a single-window opportunity to students seeking admission in any central university across the country.
The UGC chairman had last week announced that CUET scores, and not Class XII scores, will be mandatory for admission to 45 central universities and the central universities can fix their minimum eligibility criteria.
UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar had on Monday had said the central universities will have to use Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores to admit students to undergraduate programmes and not the Class 12 marks.
International students will be exempt from CUET for admission in Indian universities and they will continue to be admitted according to the existing practice of the varsities on a supernumerary basis, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has said.
