The Telangana government has decided to withdraw a case filed against human rights activist G Haragopal and five others under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Haragopal and others were among the 152 people who were named in the case involving some cadre of the banned CPI (Maoist).
Hailing from Punjab's Tarn Taran district, Panjwar, 63 was involved in drug and weapons smuggling and was designated as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in July 2020.
The recovery came after two suspects-- Naushad and Jagjit Singh-- who were earlier arrested under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), told the police about their recent crimes.

Khalid will be produced before a Delhi court on Monday.
