Presenting BJP ruled states - Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh - as examples of development, Rajnath mocked the ruling CPIM saying that the majority of residents in Tripura could not afford a cycle even after 25 years of its rule.
As per the new schedule, the class 12th examinations which was earlier scheduled for March 5 will now begin from March 8. Whereas, the schedule for class 10th board examinations 2018 remains the same.
"Election for the three states will happen in two rounds. Tripura will vote on 18 February, 2018, which is a Sunday. Meghalaya and Nagaland will vote on 27 February which is a Tuesday," said Chief Election Commissioner AK Joti.
The five-year terms of the Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura legislative assemblies is ending on March 6, March 13 and March 14 respectively.
Shah said that BJP would pave the rapid transformation of the state into a developed one through creation of employment opportunities.
After months of hobnobbing, Nath, former Opposition Leader of Tripura assembly, joined the BJP in the presence of the party's General Secretary Ram Madhav, Assam Ministers Himanta Biswa Sarma and Parimal Sukla Baidya.
