Earlier, the Delhi Police served notice to MCD seeking information in the investigation of a case registered in connection with the death of three students at a coaching centre in Old Rajinder Nagar.
The Delhi Police has formally charged Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in the Swati Maliwal assault case. The chargesheet was filed at Tis Hazari Court, marking a significant development in the legal proceedings.
Kumar's judicial custody was ending today as he was sent to judicial custody on June 1 for 14 days. Bibhav Kumar has also moved to the High Court seeking regular bail after his two bail applications were dismissed by the Tis Hazari Court.
Bibhav Kumar's earlier bail plea was dismissed by Tis Hazari court on May 27. Swati Maliwal has accused him of hitting her at Delhi CM house in the morning of May 13, while she was there to meet Arvind Kejriwal.
Bibhav Kumar was accused of abusing and beating up Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal in the drawing room of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's residence. Maliwal in her FIR said that while she waited to meet the CM on May 13, he barged into the room, pounced on her and thrashed her black and blue.
The deceased was a tuberculosis patient and chronic alcoholic, the DCP said, adding that the dust bin in the chamber in the west wing of the court complex had blood-laced vomit.
Sharma cited video footage on the incident and said a First Investigation Report should be registered against the violators.
