After the Madras High Court directed the central government to ban the TikTok App, there was a ruckus on social media. Most of the viewers have descended in favor of this decision.
The court said inappropriate content was being provided by the 'TikTok' app and the government had a social responsibility to stop it.
TikTok India in a statement said it was in the process of appointing a Chief Nodal Officer to be based out of India to better coordinate with law enforcing agencies.
The minister said that 'there have been reports that TikTok app is being used to degrade Tamil culture and is leading to law & order issues'.
