Farmers seating on protest at Tikri border built concrete structures and covered all the tents with waterproof plastic sheets following rains in Delhi-NCR. Farmers brought big bamboo sticks, iron rods at protest sites with hundreds of waterproof tarpaulin sheets to cover the tents.
In the ongoing farmers' protest against the new agri reform laws, volunteers are serving food to farmers in the large numbers at the Singhu border.
Though the sit-in, part of farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest, has been peaceful, it has affected traffic movement in both these areas. Long queues of vehicles choked the roads as the Delhi Police kept the Singhu and Tikri borders closed.
