Several cities including Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Budaun, Sambhal, Amroha, Bulandsahar, Aligarh, Etah, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri dist and adjoining areas may witness thunderstorm, lightning, rain during the next 3 hours, according to IMD Lucknow.
Rain and thundershower with strong winds between 40-60 kmph is expected in Kolkata and many other West Bengal districts according to the India Met Department. Weather forecast also suggests lightning strike with rain in districts of Bankura, Barddhaman, Birbhum, Hooghly, Howrah, Kolkata and Murshidabad among others in next few hours.
Heavy rains accompanied by hailstorm lashed Delhi-NCR on Saturday afternoon, bringing down the temperature of the national capital.
The thunderstorms are likely to peak on Friday afternoon. The wind speed is likely to touch 50 km per hour, it said. As a result, trees and hoardings may get damaged.

According to the Safdarjung observatory, reading of which is considered official for the city, 1.9 mm of rainfall was recorded till 8.30 pm. Meanwhile, the Met department said Delhi recorded a low of 12.8 degrees Celsius and a high of 21.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday.

"The minimum temperature at 8.30 am was 27.8 degrees Celsius while the humidity level was 72 per cent," a MeT official said.
