According to weather alert issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds and lightning are very likely at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.

The weather anomalies, caused by a western disturbance over north Pakistan and Afghanistan and a cyclonic circulation over western India, have killed around 200 people within this month.
The National Disaster Management Authority advises against outdoor activities and travels during a thunderstorm warning. If possible, delay all travel till the weather clears to avoid any untoward incident.

Senior Met official Dr K Sathidevi said that the weather anomalies might affect parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, UP, Rajasthan, Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir.
