The third grand slam tournament of the year, Wimbledon, is all set to commence from July 1 (Monday). The two-week event will be concluding on July 14 with all eyes on defending champion Carlos Alcaraz. For India, Sumit Nagal and Rohan Bopanna are prominent players who will be in action.

The defending champion Carlos Alcaraz will take on Mark Lajal in the first round of the men's singles while the new world no.1 Jannik Sinner will face Germany's Yannick Hanfmann to begin his Wimbledon 2024 campaign on July 1.
"All of the discussions and conversations that I've had with my team are that I'm not going to play past this summer. Obviously I've had the conversation with my family, and I have a family holiday booked the week after the Olympics," Andy Murray said.
"He obviously went through a procedure yesterday [Saturday] and you have to wait and see now. My understanding is no decision has been made and let's hope for the best for Andy," Great Britain's tennis captain Leon Smith said.
Sumit Nagal is India's top-ranked player in the ATP men's singles rankings. The 26-year-old is currently occupying the 72nd position on the ATP men's singles rankings.
"Two-time Olympic Champion Andy Murray was our flag bearer in Rio, and he continues to lead by example through his commitment to the Olympic Games and Team GB in what will be his fifth Olympics," GB Chef de Mission Mark England said.
"It’s for this reason (Olympics) that I will miss playing at the Championships this year at Wimbledon. I am saddened not to be able to live this year the great atmosphere of that amazing event that will always be in my heart," Rafael Nadal said.
