Big relief for Rhea Chakraborty came on Wednesday when the Bombay High Court granted bail to her. She was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drugs probe related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case last month.
Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer Satish Maneshinde told India TV, "Pleased with the High Court verdict. NCB has falsely implicated Rhea Chakraborty. Rhea should not have been kept in custody for even a single day."
The lawyer said, "We are happy with the order of the Hon'ble Bombay High Court that Rhea Chakraborty has been granted bail. Truth and justice prevailed. Rhea's arrest and detention were completely unfair and beyond the reach of the law. Witchhunt by three Central agencies- CBI, ED and NCB, must come to an end. We are committed to truth. The Bombay High Court granted bail to Rhea Chakraborty along with Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant; with a few conditions. Rhea will have to pay Rs 1 lakh bond. On the other hand, Showik Chakraborty's bail has been rejected.
