Raj Kumar (25), a resident of Jalbera area in Ambala City, was arrested a week ago under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and he was sent in judicial custody by a local court, they said.
"Gufran was lodged inside the jail number 1 of Tihar prison. On Tuesday at 11.15 am, he hanged himself with a piece of cloth to commit suicide.
A resident of Trarpur village under the Bilaspur police station in Gurugram, Kumar was posted at the Rajori sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
Anil Gupta, a resident of Majlis Park area here, died on the spot. However, no suicide note was found, the police added.
The deceased has been identified as Sonakshi Garg, a resident of Paharganj, they said.
