UK Police on Tuesday confirmed a third child had died as a result of injuries sustained in the attack. The three victims were girls aged six, seven and nine. Eight other children also suffered stab wounds and five remained in a critical condition.
The Delhi Police said that the accused also got injured in his hands. Both the deceased and accused belonged to Assam.
According to police, officers who were called at about 3 p.m. for a wellness check on Manhattan’s Upper West Side found the bodies of the children and two adults, a 41-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman.
The couple had gone to court in connection with a dispute, police said.
