Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar, who was part of a three-member mediation panel in the Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit, on Saturday described the Supreme Court verdict on the matter as "historic" and said it has brought "joy and relief" to people of both the communities from a long-standing dispute.
Mahboob, however, repeated his old stand and said, "A mosque will always remain a mosque. Muslims have no objection if Ram Janambhoomi temple is built on a non- disputed site, other than the Babri masjid land."
"India can never be Syria, he should know that. This guru should take his private jet to Iraq and Syria to spread the message of peace through his Art of Living," Shiv Sena said in the article.
In an exclusive interview to India TV, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said that Muslims should give up their claim on the disputed land and gift it to Hindus for the construction of the Ram temple.
Maulana Salman Nadvi also said that he will return the Board only if senior member Kamal Faruqui and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi are removed.
