The budget carrier SpiceJet will introduce flights on the Guwahati-Dhaka-Guwahati route on July 1, according to an airline spokesperson.
SpiceJet plans to hire up to 2,000 staff, including pilots and cabin crew, of the defunct Jet Airways as the no-frills carrier continues to expand its operations.
SpiceJet is the fourth domestic airline to have 100 aircraft in its fleet, after Air India, IndiGo, and the now grounded Jet Airways.
On the domestic sector, it will launch six new domestic flights connecting the country's financial capital to other destinations from May 20.

SpiceJet passengers from 51 domestic destinations will be able to access Emirates' network across the US, Europe, Africa and Middle East.
SpiceJet chairman and managing director Ajay Singh in a statement Friday said that his carrier is giving "first preference" to Jet Airways staff in recruitment.
The move is aimed at augmenting capacity in the domestic markets especially on regional routes, following the near collapse of Jet Airways, which has resulted in massive surge in air fares besides mismatch in demand and supply amid peak travel season.
"We are delighted to connect a large number of popular international destinations from Mumbai, a city that has always been a key and integral part of our network," SpiceJet Chairman said.
The announcement comes at a time when airfares have been on an upswing across India for the last few weeks due to sharp decline in number of flights primarily caused by grounding of around 90 per cent of cash-strapped Jet Airways' 119-aircraft fleet.
The membership would help SpiceJet, which has ambitious expansion plans, to have codeshares and agreements with other carriers, the domestic airline said in a statement on Tuesday.
