Srinagar experienced its coldest night of the season on Tuesday, with temperatures dropping to -5.4°C as the cold wave tightened its grip across Kashmir. Sonamarg recorded the valley’s lowest temperature, plummeting to a frigid -9.7°C.
Srinagar Meteorological Centre had on Monday evening predicted light to moderate rain (light snow over higher reaches) with thunder at most places in Kashmir Division.
The upper reaches of the Kashmir valley witnessed light to moderate snowfall while plains were lashesd with rains, ending dry spell in the region, making Gulmarg and Sonamarg a heaven on earth for tourists.
Sonamarg is experiencing chilly weather as the region witnessed heavy snowfall in past few days.
