Sadhana Ramachandran, who is appointed by Supreme Court for mediation, arrived at Shaheen Bagh to resume talks with the anti-CAA protester on Saturday.
Noida-Faridabad road was briefly reopened on February 21 after being shut down for 69 days due to anti-CAA protests, but was soon shut down again.
There were tears and defiance too as the women of Shaheen Bagh poured their hearts out to the two Supreme Court-appointed interlocutors on Wednesday, the first attempt to reach out to those sitting in protest against the citizenship amendment legislation for more than two months.
Supreme Court appointed a mediation panel to talk to Shaheen Bagh protestors. A number of protestors are protesting at Shaheen Bagh against CAA for a long time now. Speaking on it, Wajahat Habibullah said, "Our aim is to remove protestors from that place where they are protesting to remove the inconvenience caused. The mediation panel is not going to ask them to stop the protest." On being asked about what is conscience says about success in removing them, Habibullah said, "It will only be cleared when we will visit the place. We need to check out if it is causing any inconvenience. It will not right to say anything before hand."
