The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL), a separatist conglomerate headed by Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik, called for the shutdown against the killing of a civilian in Srinagar on Thursday.
The JRL (Joint Resistance Leadership), comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Mohammad Yasin Malik, called for a complete shutdown on Monday, a JRL spokesperson said in a statement.
Police said the restrictions under Section 144 of the CrPC have been imposed in the old city area and some uptown areas here to maintain law and order.
