A man from Osmanabad district in Maharashtra tried to commit suicide by setting himself on fire outside the Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai on Tuesday morning, a police official said. Police personnel on duty in the area doused the flames and rushed him to a hospital, he said.
A 44-year-old man, who allegedly set himself on fire inside a police station in Shivajinagar area, died at a hospital on Wednesday. Three persons were arrested for alleged abetment of suicide following the death of Abdul Hamid Jamadar, resident of Bainganwadi in Shivaji Nagar.
