Talking about the flood situation in the state, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan stated that NDRF, SDRF, Army and BSF have rescued around 5,950 people from 240 villages till now and efforts are underway to rescue 1,950 more people.
Speaking over flood situation in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on August 03 said, "Due to heavy rain and floods, around 1,171 villages in Shivpuri, Sheopur, Datia, Gwalior, Bhind and Rewa areas have been affected. 800 mm of downpour received in 2 days. Rescue operations by Air Force will commence once weather gets better."
