Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the the government has decided to withdraw all Covid-related restrictions, including night curfew in the city. Besides, fine for not wearing masks has been reduced from Rs 2,000 to Rs 500.
Physical classes for the lower sections will recommence after a gap of two years with strict adherence to a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the School Education Department.

On Sunday, West Bengal's Covid-19 caseload increased to 19,93,606 after 3,427 more people tested positive for the virus, 85 less than the previous day's figure, the health department said in a bulletin.

Haryana govt had earlier this month suspended physical classes in all schools amid the surge in COVID cases.
Last week, the Maharashtra government allowed the offline classes to resume from January 24 after Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray approved a proposal to this effect that was sent to him by the school education department.
The government had earlier ordered the closure of the educational institutions till January 23 in view of a rise in Covid cases.
All the schools will have to ensure Covid protocols are in place, Varsha Gaikwad said.

With 95 percent of the population who are over 18 years of age being vaccinated with at least the first dose and a reduction in the number of new cases and people undergoing COVID-19 treatment, the state has been able to relax social restrictions, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.
