As of now, 18 Saudi suspects have been taken into custody in connection with the incident and two senior Saudi officials fired.

Trump's statement comes a day after Saudi government confirmed that Khashoggi died following a "fistfight" at its consulate in Istanbul on October 2, without disclosing any details on the whereabouts of his body.
Khashoggi died as a result of the altercation after he had come to the consulate to obtain paperwork needed for his upcoming wedding to his Turkish fiancee, Hatice Cengiz, a statement said.
"It certainly looks that way... Very sad," said the President when asked by a reporter whether Khashoggi, who disappeared after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, was dead.
Deepak Pavithram, a Keralite working with Lulu Hypermarket in Riyadh, was fired on Tuesday for allegedly making misogynistic and insensitive remarks about women on social media.
The death of Jamal Khashoggi, who worked for The Washington Post, has resulted in a global outrage and more so in the US as he lived here as a legal permanent resident.
