Hot seats in Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The battle for the Korba Lok Sabha seat, encompassing eight assembly constituencies, is set to witness a fierce clash between Jyotsna Mahant of the Congress and Saroj Pandey of the BJP, popularly referred to as 'Didi' and 'Bhabhi' respectively.
Interestingly Rahul Gandhi who took over as the president of the grand old party in December 2017, is seen by many as the PM candidate against Narendra Modi in the 2019 general elections.
Pandey registered victory against Congress candidate Lekhram Sahu by a comfortable margin, roping in the votes of the two MLAs who cross voted in her favour.
BJP leader Saroj Pandey said if the killing of her party workers continued in Kerala, "eyes of the attackers will be gouged out".
