The probing agency has alleged Singh played a key role in the formulation and implementation of the policy, which benefited certain liquor manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers, for monetary considerations.
Earlier on Tuesday, a special court had extended till October 13 the ED custody of Singh, arrested in a money laundering case related to alleged irregularities in the scrapped Delhi excise policy.
After the 5-day ED remand is over, Sanjay Singh is going to appear in Rouse Avenue Court shortly. Before that, Aam Aadmi Party workers have come out on the streets.
Sanjay Singh was arrested on October 4 in connection with a money laundering case in the Delhi Excise Policy scam. Before him, two main AAP leaders - Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain have already been in custody in connection with the same case.

In connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh has been sent to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) Custody. The Aam Aadmi Party has been protesting in several parts of India after the arrest of its leader.
Kejriwal described the arrest as illegal and said, it reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “nervousness”. Kejriwal said, “they will arrest many more opposition until the next general elections”.
