Padmaavat, which released on January 25, is getting good response from the audience. The movie has crossed Rs 100 cr mark at the box office.
The actor said he felt validated with the praise that the film, which released after delays and controversies, has received.
The film stars Deepika as queen Padmavati, Shahid Kapoor as Maha Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Sultan Alauddin Khilji.

Shahid played the role of Raja Ratan Singh in the film whereas Ranveer Singh was seen as Alauddin Khalji.
The period drama is based on the 16th century epic Padmavat by poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi. The religious groups have alleged that it distorts history and undermines Rajput valor claims denied by the filmmakers.
