Vipul K Rawal has been sent a legal notice by Mumbai-based lawyer Harishchandra Someshwar for hurting Christian sentiments in his directorial debut "Tony".
The legal notice has asked Akshay and Twinkle to cancel the auction "failing which necessary action shall be taken against you under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code".
The controversy started when a person took to Facebook to express his opinion on why the 'auction of a naval officer's uniform' is wrong.
"You touch our honour and we will give you a bloody nose," the navy officer warned Twinkle Khanna.
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna were trolled for auctioning a naval uniform. The uniform was worn by the actor in his hit film Rustom.
The money raised by the auction will be used to support the cause of animal welfare.
