The rise in COVID-19 cases in the national capital and the resulting demand of Remdesivir formulations have created a law and order problem with Delhi government’s Drug Control Department asking Delhi Police to step in to handle the crowds.
Several states across the country have asked for more supplies of Remdesivir amid the record surge in COVID-19 infections.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had drawn the attention of the Center to the problem created by the shortage of Remdesivir in the state and had also requested the Prime Minister in a letter, as per a statement from the Chief Minister's Secretariat.
