The police have registered a case of gang-rape against the accused at Satpati police station, a spokesperson of Palghar district rural police said.
The accused men, all in their early twenties, have been booked for the offences under section 354 (molestation) and section 307 (attempt to murder), an officer of Kottayam West police station said.
The victim, in her complaint, alleged when she was at her hometown in Uttar Pradesh between 2016 and 2018, she was raped multiple times by her uncle and also molested by grandfather.
The accused, who has now been arrested, had taken a performance enhancing pill before the act. According to the police, the man, Raj Gautam, raped her when she was alone at home.
Jharkhand: The police said the arrests were made after interrogating some locals who frequent the secluded spot near the old aerodrome in Chaibasa where the incident happened.
The alleged incident had taken place in July but the victim approached the police on Tuesday only after the matter was highlighted by the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW).
