Powar said the decision to push her down the order was taken after due consultation with her but still led to a furore.
The 35-year-old Mithali was left out of the World T20 semifinal against England that raised quite a few eyebrows after India's eight-wicket loss.
The seniormost batswoman of the Indian team, in a scathing e-mail to Johri and Karim, alleged that Powar humiliated her during the World T20 in the West Indies.
Mithali Raj was dropped for the semi-final clash against England despite being fit and scoring two back-to-back fifties in the tournament.
It is expected that Johri and Karim will present a detailed report to the CoA which will then assess and, if required, speak to the individuals concerned.
The team, led by all rounder Harmanpreet Kaur, will commence their campaign with the group lung opener against New Zealand at Guyana on November 9.
Powar's term will include the tour to Sri Lanka in September, a bilateral series in West Indies in October followed by the ICC Women's World T20 in West Indies in November.
Ramesh Powar will oversee the women's team camp which begins in Bengaluru from July 25.
